What does AI need to know about my company before it can recommend me?

Key takeaway

AI needs to understand who your company helps, what you do, which problems you solve, where or for whom you can deliver the service, and why a buyer should trust you. A line saying “we serve clients nationwide” does not explain enough.

Nationwide is a reach statement, not a reason to choose you

A company may be able to serve all fifty states and still be the right fit for only a small group of buyers. The buyer needs to know more than how far you can travel or deliver.

The important question is who truly needs what you do and in which situations your company is a strong fit.

Your best knowledge may only appear during sales calls

Experienced people inside the company often know the hard cases, warning signs, tradeoffs, and mistakes buyers make. If those answers only come out after a prospect books a call, the public cannot use them before the call.

Publishing those answers lets buyers understand your judgment earlier. It also gives AI more material showing what your company actually knows.

Make the proof match the question

A buyer should be able to see what you do, who you help, what makes a case fit, what results you have produced, and what limits matter. Reviews, past jobs, expert explanations, licenses, studies, and outside references can all help when they are relevant.

The goal is not to look impressive in general. The goal is to make the company believable for this buyer's problem.
