Authors, Books & Ideas Answer

What does AI need to understand about my work before it can connect it to the right people?

AI needs to understand what your work is about and what question it addresses. It also needs to understand your key idea, who it is for, and why it matters. A title, genre, or one-line mission statement is rarely enough.

Question 3 of 10Topic: What Your Work AddsPublished Sep. 24, 2026JB-reviewed Sep. 24, 2026

You already know what the work means

The risk is not that you forgot your own book.

The risk is that the public version of the book is thinner than the book itself.

A sales page may say, “a bold new look at freedom.”

But the real work may contain a specific definition, argument, history, and set of distinctions.

That missing detail matters

If the distinctive idea never leaves the pages of the book, AI and new readers may only see the broad label.

Then your work can get mixed in with dozens of books that use the same word but mean something very different.

Make the real work visible

  • The problem you are addressing
  • The people you want to reach
  • The key idea or distinction
  • The questions the work can answer
  • What it disagrees with or corrects
  • The evidence, examples, or reasoning behind it

The goal is not to simplify the idea into nothing

Good communication makes the idea easier to understand without changing what you meant.

ProReach should help the public reach the Source—not replace the Source with marketing language.
